Resourceful Refuge, INC. Service Standards:

Staff Availability

Our dedicated staff provide 24/7 support within residential Group Home settings, ensuring individual needs are consistently met in accordance with person-centered plans. Lower staff-to-individual ratios during Group Day Services Community Engagement (non-center-based) allow for increased individualized support in community settings, while center-based Group Day Services provide structured programming, skill-building activities, and social engagement throughout the day.

Provide A Safe Environment

It is our responsibility to maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment across both Group Home and Group Day Services. Residential bedrooms are equipped with keyed entry and private storage space. Agency vehicles are routinely maintained, equipped with emergency medical supplies, and are handicap accessible to support safe community access and transportation.

Encourage Independence

The focus of both Group Home and Group Day Services is to promote independence through individualized, person-centered supports. Staff work collaboratively with individuals to develop daily living skills, increase self-sufficiency, and build confidence through structured skill-building activities and consistent support.

Focus on Health

served. Licensed and trained staff provide support with health monitoring, medication administration/assistance, and coordination of medical, psychiatric, and counseling services within residential settings and as needed during day services. Ongoing collaboration with external healthcare providers ensures continuity of care.

Develop Self-Esteem

A primary goal across Group Home and Group Day Services is the development of self-esteem and personal empowerment. Through consistent support, skill development, and positive reinforcement, individuals are encouraged to recognize their strengths, build confidence, and work toward personally meaningful goals.

Provide Job Experience

Individuals are offered opportunities to build vocational and pre-vocational skills in both settings. Within the Group Home environment, this may include voluntary participation in simple household responsibilities such as sweeping, dishwashing, and cleaning personal spaces. During Group Day Services Community Engagement, individuals receive structured support to develop job readiness skills, explore vocational interests, and participate in community-based training opportunities.
